About PC-Help and Me
A website’s “About” page is designed to explain what the website is all about. Basically, what you would expect to see and what the website offers. It is also where I introduce myself. My name is Jim Canfield and welcome to “PC-HELP”. I am retired after spending more than 50 years in the Graphic Arts, and corporate IT.
I am motivated by helping individuals experience the power of their computer and making them aware of all the opportunities they give.
There is so much more to computers than email, Social Media sites, and surfing the internet. This website will provide articles of general interest, security, troubleshooting and how to have fun on a PC.
The use of computers should be presented in a non-intimidating way to new users. We should all experience the information and services of the World Wide Web and feel safe doing so.
The website will use “links” to help you navigate the site. A link can be an icon, graphic image or text that sends you to another part of the website or in some case other parts of the web. Some words or phrases will be italicized and underlined. Clicking on it will open the terminology page and offer a definition. Just click on the back arrow on your browser to return.
One favor I do ask is that you help by pointing out any mistakes I may fix or topics you would like to see.
