The Power of MS Calculator
The New Windows Calculator is light years away from the small 2+2 calculator that came in earlier versions of Windows. It might be easy to miss the options available on Windows Calculator, but they are just a click away.
Open the Windows Start Menu and type Calc in the search bar. Click on the App icon to open the calculator.
The default calculator is the Standard and has not really changed. It offers the same standard symbols that have always been there.
Clicking on the Hamburger menu Icon,(Three vertical lines). Displays the full list of calculator and converter tables available. It has an impressive five calculators and 5 converters.
Scientific Calculator
The scientific calculator has also been around for some time but it has been cleaned up with many of the operators hidden withing drop-down menus making for a much easier and cleaner calculator. includes an impressive number of Trigonometry operators and additional function operators. Designed to aid students, mathematicians, engineers, and scientists they are used for advanced computing.
Graphing Calculator
New to available calculators is the graphing calculator. It is used for advanced mathematics and most students know that regular and scientific calculators are not allowed in most college classrooms but graphing calculators are often an exception, particularly while doing calculus tests.
With a graphing calculator, you can handle algebraic equations, trigonometry, and geometry as well as simultaneous equations, and plotting. something I certainly wish was available when I went to college.
Programmer Calculator
If you code for a living you can appreciate the benefits of having a programing calculator. Being able to display Hexadecimal values into binary at a click of a button if very helpful. There is very little here for no programmers.
Date Calculation
If you had a need to determine how many days since your birth to today they have you covered.
Convertors
The new calculator also includes seven converters from:
- Currency
- Weight
- Temperature
- Mass
- Volume and Mass
- Energy
- Area.
Simply enter the value you want in the top row and it will instantly convert it to the desired value in the second row.
Summary
Granted, most of the newer calculators are specific to a particular need but it is nice to know they exist. You can always go online and search for the answer but the calculator delivers without ads or knowing which one is better.
